Urban Living (December 8)
Bring on another day of holiday activities! Except today was an EPIC FAIL! We walked out of the house with a plan, and came back with half our list unfinished. The plan today was to have lunch, do a little holiday shopping, and see the gingerbread houses at the Marriott in downtown. Sounds great, right? Well, we did go to lunch! We had a delicious lunch at Purple Café. If you haven’t been there, then shame on you! I have to say, they have the best fries! After lunch we went to Urban Outfitters. What a trip that store is. So much weird and random stuff, no wonder mom likes it there. She introduced me to a brand called Lisa Frank. Apparently Lisa’s stuff was very popular with school children in the 90’s. I guess it is making a comeback at Urban. I got a unicorn Lisa Frank ornament from Yaya this year.
I definitely fit in today. I was a hipster in hipsterville (Urban Outfitters…). I was ironically mismatched in all the right ways. Today I wore blue jeans, ruffled shirt from Crew Cuts, Converses, beanie from the GAP, and topped it off with the most amazing plaid blazer from La Minitura. I even found a skateboard to accessorize with. I’m pretty sure I out-hipstered the hipsters. Go me!
