Hello Nature! (December 30)
Today was packed full of outside fun! It was great to get my adventure on. In case you don’t know, I live in the middle of the city, in a townhome, with a yard so small you could cut the grass with a pair of scissors… I guess you could say I don’t have the “typical” living situation with a grassy yard and room to run. While I adore the city, I enjoyed the nature break even more these past few days. My aunts live on acres of land with all sorts of magical stuff to explore. They have fruit trees and gardens galore. It was so awesome to go outside and pick some fresh oranges for breakfast. We also hit up the pomegranate tree quite often too. Along with the gardens, they have lots of animals roaming free. They have lots of peacocks and cats living in harmony together. Sounds weird, but it’s true. I spent the majority of my day chasing animals. I was only able to really catch one, a cat named Abbey. He’s a sweet fellow, and he was real patient with my rough, grabby hands.
I ended this glorious day by taking a REALLY long walk with aunt Juanita around the property. We climbed hills, went into the dried out pond, and walked though what felt like miles of tall grass. I know this is really sad, but today was the first real day I got dirty. I had grass and dirt all over me, and I welcomed every but of it. Guess I am a real kid now, huh? I will always cherish my time at Cinita place!!
